In this diy post i ll show you how to build a rustic wooden mirror frame.
Since this frame is floating on not attached to an existing mirror already mounted to the wall a margin of overlap is left to conceal the edge of the mirror.
Materials needed full length leaner mirror mine measured 60 x 18 inches here s a smaller option from wal mart and a larger option from wal.
However this method can be used with any wood type of at least 3 4 thickness including ornate trims.

We stained the frame rustic gray and roughed it up a bit with a sanding block nails and a rough gloss treatment.
We attached our wood frame to the mirror using a few joist hangers and at the bottom we used a few command strips.
A plain basic full length mirror that s doing nothing for your home decor game.
The wood frame itself is made from pine boards.
